Week 13

This week was our 10 day-long Pesach break. In my last blog I talked about my long journey home traveling solo in the airport. When I finally arrived back in my own house, it felt like nothing has changed. Everything at home was pretty much the exact same as I left it. It was really nice to share my new stories from all my experiences with my family and to just be around them since I haven’t seen anybody in so long. I definitely took advantage of my mom’s home-cooked meals, which I love. It felt really weird to be home since it was so quite. Compared to living in Israel, especially in dorms, I am always around my friends and there is always something happening. Constant activity and emotion. There is always a loud but pleasant noise of my besties and all my group mates living their best lives together. However, I did really appreciate my own bed and bathroom and the luxury of our home. I was able to hang out with my home friends which was really nice. I really missed my friends in Israel though as we have all become so close. They are like sister’s to me and our connection is so strong, it is hard to put into words. What we have been experiencing together has been life changing and will forever be a huge part of my soul, my character, my ver being. Coming back was certainly an adjustment as I was living with lots of freedom. I had to come back and adjust to my parents rules again which wasn’t easy. While being abroad, I have changed a lot. I view the world differently than I did before I left.
